Hi, I'm Alex! This page is just here to help you learn a little more about me, and what this business does for our clients. We basically started up simply because I couldn't see myself doing anything in life as a job more than working with sound every day - I love creating and mixing music, as well as capturing obscure sounds to add to our effects library, which is used for making tracks unique as well as creating sound for film and television.
This company has been founded with the intention of creating top quality music and sound design, while providing excellent customer service to make sure that you enjoy creating your masterpiece as much as we do.
Although I'm the manager of Whitewash Studios, I spend a huge amount of time working in the studio because it's my passion. There would be no point in putting my heart and soul into creating this business if I didn't get to enjoy it, after all!
For this reason, when you have your sessions with us you will either have me as your engineer or at least have me popping my head in to see how well things are going, and of course feel free to give me your honest opinion on your experience; if there's anything that you're not 100% happy with, then I'm not doing a good enough job and must improve the service until you don't want to leave!
My love of sound began at secondary school when me and a couple of my best mates started a band. As with most secondary schools, we would rehearse after school in the music room when it was free, and needed to use the PA to run vocal mics. Our teacher knew how to use the system - but didnt stay late - so we were on our own. Since I was the lead singer, it fell on me to work out what this alien technology was and how to use it, and quickly started enjoying it!
From there I managed to land work experience at 'Central Studio' in Basingstoke as a volunteer technician, which eventually grew into a job, teaching me almost everything I know about sound and lighting today.
